― every day was the same. treating patients - half the time, patients who didn't actually need treated but were just dramatic or crybabies - sorting herbs, assigning herbs, watching patrols leave. rarely did this change; it was always something of the similar, something like that happening. and normally vanillatuft didn't mind; yes she got bored, but she dealt with it - but some days, it all built up and she really just needed a big break!
she leapt out of the medicine den, her eyes scanning the clearing for two specific mollies. she saw melody right away, and knew batfang had to be nearby somewhere. as fast as her small legs could travel, she ran to melody, nearly knocking her over with the excitement she held to see her friend. this is usually how it went; she was always excited to see them. she dipped her head with a laugh, a curt greetings! and then sat back a few steps so she could look at her friend. she put her two paws together and moved them in the air as if she was signaling a bird, but in reality, it meant bat, and then bared her teeth for fang. and then with her paw, she pointed at melody, a swift you, and then pointed at herself, an obvious me, and then used her paw to move it up and down infront of her, as if she was signaling a moving river. "adventure!" she squeaked out. she loved the river! she loved watching fish roll by!
