having spent most of her days doing something - anything to keep her busy - she had kept a steady eye on the medicine cat's den. she was a warrior's apprentice, but she couldn't stop thinking about her mother's death. nobody would be able to stop thinking about such a sad topic. it haunted her.
she hadn't been there; why? maybe if she knew she was so close to death, she could have helped her mom survived. she could have done something, anything. but the other issue was she knew nothing about herbs. she had the common knowledge that even kits had; that cobweb stopped bleeding, make poultices for wounds to stop infection - but she didn't know exactly what herbs to combine, or what poultices were the best. she just knew she needed to learn more. her mother's death was so fresh, it wouldnt go away. she knew it wouldn't go away until she learned how to help other cats. she needed to know how to help other cats. she didn't want to sit back and watch anymore; she needed to know how she could stop more death and more tragedy. she wanted to do something, be there.
she was nervous about talking to rainwhisper. what if she didn't want daisypaw in the medicine den? she knew rainwhisper was so kind, so caring; but she was still nervous. she was on the quiet side and didn't like talking, especially with the idea she could get shut down. but she still had to try, right?
she walked to the entrance of the medicine den, her eyes flicking around to land on rainwhisper. "um, hi!" she greeted softly, her green eyes wide with what definitely could be portraying anxiety. "do you..do you think you could teach me some things?"
what if she said no? what if that wasn't good enough for her? "i want to be able to help others. since i couldn't help my mom." she explained, her gaze flitting to the floor of the den.
